The great Chinese philosopher Confucius has been quoted as saying, â€Å"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall† (Acosta, 2014, â€Å"31 Inspirational Quotes,† para. 5). There may be that one time in a person’s life when they are feeling like life has pushed them down and all that is needed is someone to help them find the tools need to rise back up. This quote is hopefully the feeling an individual experiences after they have walked into an agency seeking help and after have received that help with whatever difficulties life has dealt them. Therefore, within an agency’s walls there are various individuals who are there willing and able to help. Inside the walls of this organization there are programs design ed to help clients deal with challenges they are facing and enable them to become whole again. Heading the program at this location is a social worker, they work with a group of case manager’s, who work together in a partnership to empower those individuals who come seeking help. The Salvation Army is a service oriented organizations that can be found across the country. They have offices that are located in serval cities within practically every state. In Jacksonville, Florida, the organizations main office is located downtown. The Salvation Army (2014) has a simple mission statement in which its main goal is to meet the needs of any person without discrimination while preaching the, â€Å"Gospel of Jesus Christ and are an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church,† (para. 3). While offering a variety of programs this group also works alongside many other community service groups and if needed will refer a person out in order meet the needs of the client.
